Urban feasibility study

Urban analysis for a feasibility study, Bailly-Romainvilliers, outskirts of Paris, France. The city of Bailly-Romainvilliers is a suburban area, part of a group of 5 other cities located around the amusement park Euro Disney. The main housing typology on the nearby site is single family housing, often located in gated communities. The town could easily be refer as a “commuter town”. The Mayor requested a feasibility study to have another vision of what the town could be, and more specifically on an adjacent unbuild 200 ha land. After a deep urban analysis of the site and references, we designed a green neighborhood with mix density and activity. Something new to the area but that could act as a soft transition with its surroundings, questioning the existing urban typology and its viability for the futur of suburbs in general.
