Public swimming pool

A public competition for an outdoor swimming pool located within a high school, on the french island of Mayotte (Africa). One of the challenges of the project was the small lot and the hilly terrain. The roof was thought as a sunshade and oriented to protect users from the intense summer/ spring sun. The design of the roof which is a strong architectural element of the project, was also meant to protect views from the classrooms to the pool, and swimmers from the strong winds that can arise at some times of the year.
